In January, Christine and I, along with our friend Rhonda, visited a rural school to celebrate the first grade's completion of the Meet the Appleman series. Everyone enjoyed an afternoon of fossil digging, applesauce making, shopping in the classroom country store and learning to draw chickens. The students were invited to write their own ranch stories to be published into books for their classroom!
